Davie has been Surfing all over the World
for 33years from Australia, Barbados, CapeCod,
Dominica, England, France, Galway, Haiti, Ireland, Jameos
del Agua, Kuta, Lanzarote,
Mexico, Noosa, Ogunquit, Portugal, Quiberon, Rhode
Island, South Africa, Tenerife, Uluwatu, Volusia County, Western Isles, X Spot-Secrets, Yorkharbor and Zavial ……...an
A-Z of Surf Adventures.
His Great Grandparents are from Aberdeen and Braemar and he has 3 daughters and 8 grandchildren and
settled in Banff in 2002 with his family.
The Surf Club started in 2003 when a boy from Banff
Academy asked Davie if he could try Surfing.
Davie’s wife Geraldine suggested he start a Surf Club so “All Ages and
Abilities” could enjoy this Healthy, Exciting, Outdoor Activity, so Davie
bought an extra board, then another, then another………..
We took over a disused Beach Shelter and with help from a
Lottery Grant and Local authority built doors and changing facilities, one of
the only ones in the UK.
Now the Surf Club Welcomes people from all over Scotland
UK and across the World to Surf in Banff.
We hire all the gear and with Special “C-Skins” Thermal
Steamer Wetsuits you can Surf All Year Round.
Individuals , Families, Groups, Clubs and Schools we can
also cater for Parties and Corporate Events as well as arrange accommodation
for Hourly, Daily or weekly bookings.
